The Deadwood Depths is likely the last dungeon you'll find in the underground of Impact Island. It is a buried forest of rotting mangroves, flooded with murky water and swarming with all manner of ravenous insects. The floors of the dungeon are relatively open compared to other dungeons, although the fact that you're surrounded by unseen enemies closing in makes it an unpleasant exchange for claustrophobic corridors. Determining the depth of the water level throughout the terrain is a major factor in deciding where all types of Pikmin can move. If it is shallow enough, Pikmin won't be harmed.
The atmosphere and nature of the Deadwood Depths were inspired by a place the creator visited earlier this year.
